Questions this guide answers

How do I resize all my round tables?

Select them, or press Command A, and type the new size in Diameter in Properties. You can type 5', 60 in or 5 ft; every selected round changes at once. The chairs move out with the table edge, so you see the real footprint of each table straight away.

How many people fit at a 72-inch round?

Ten comfortably, twelve tightly. A 60-inch round seats eight to ten. Going from 72 to 60 inches takes a foot off every table, so ten chairs sit closer and the aisles get wider. Ask the rental house which sizes they hold before you build the layout.

How much space between round tables?

Leave about five feet between chair backs so guests and servers pass, more on the main walkways. Press P for Smart Distances to read the gap to the nearest table while you move one. If ten at a table is too tight, lower Seats or add a table.
