Yes — 100%. All tools and features are free. Every event comes with free editing time. You only buy grids when you need more. No credit card required, no trial period. It's free forever.
How is this different from AllSeated or Social Tables?⌄
Those tools cost $100–500/month, require lengthy onboarding, and lock you into annual contracts. Floors.live is free to start, takes 30 seconds to sign up, and your first floorplan can be done in minutes. Plus, your clients don't need an account to view or comment.
Can my clients see the floorplan without signing up?⌄
Absolutely. Just share the link. They can view the layout, see guest assignments, and leave comments — all without creating an account. It's one of our most loved features.
What can I export?⌄
Print-ready PDFs (A4 or Letter) and high-resolution PNGs (2x quality, transparent background). Exports include your event details, capacity breakdown, and a professional scale bar. Use grids for clean exports without the Floors.live watermark.
Is my data safe?⌄
Your data is encrypted in transit (SSL) and at rest. We use Google Cloud infrastructure (Firebase) with enterprise-grade security. We never sell your data, and you can export or delete it at any time.
How much free editing time do I get?⌄
Every event comes with a configurable amount of free editing time. When you need more, you can purchase grid packages starting at $19 for 1,000 grids (~1 event). Grids never expire, so you can use them whenever you need.
What are Grids?⌄
Grids are floors.live credits. Each project you create uses 1,000 grids. Creating a custom 3D element from your own photos uses 100 grids per element. On subscription plans, you get grids each month automatically. On pay-as-you-go, you buy a bundle and use them whenever — they never expire.
Do I need a subscription to use floors.live?⌄
No. Event planners can buy grid bundles and use them project by project, with no monthly commitment. Subscriptions (Planner Pro / Studio) make sense if you're doing 5+ events a month and want predictable costs.
What's the difference between Event Planner and Venue pricing?⌄
Event planners pay per project — you buy grids, unlock a project, deliver it to a client, done. Venues pay per space because they need permanent access to their layouts for recurring events and client bookings. Think of it like: planners rent, venues own.
How do custom 3D elements work?⌄
Upload a real-world photo of any furniture or fixture, and floors.live will model it in 3D — visible in walkthroughs and shareable links. This costs 100 grids per element. Elements you create are saved to your library and reused for free across all future projects.
Can I switch from pay-as-you-go to a subscription?⌄
Yes, anytime. Your existing grid balance carries over. Unused grids aren't lost — they sit in your account and are consumed after your monthly allotment runs out.
How does annual billing work?⌄
Pay for 10 months, get 12. Annual plans are charged upfront. You save the equivalent of 2 months every year. Annual subscribers get priority in our support queue.
